Following a three-day exhibition at the Palais de Tokyo, the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine then hosted the exhibition “Artistes à la Une” (Artists on the Front Page) as part of a charity auction in aid of Reporters without Borders. This project, initiated by the curator Nicolas Couturieux, was inspired by 37 former front pages of the French newspaper Libération. Bidders came in droves to attend the sale, supporting the freedom of the press and freedom of expression. Taking place at the auction house as well as online, each and every work found a home, with Nathalie Mangeot on the hammer at MILLON auction house. The €140,350 raised will go towards financing  programmes that defend the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press run by Reporters without Borders.

Libération and RSF thank the curators of the exhibition Nicolas Couturieux and David-Hervé Boutin, Alexandre Millon and his team, the Palais de Tokyo and the the Cité de l’Architecture et du Patrimoine, and all participating artists.
